The Kings' 19-player training-camp roster, arranged by position (guards, wings/forwards, bigs; camp roles, not a starting lineup), ahead of Saturday's preseason game at the Warriors: Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, 5:30 p.m. PT, Chase Center, San Francisco (NBC Sports California). The Kings are 0-2 this preseason; it's an exhibition, so check pregame reports for who plays. The Kings take their only preseason game on regular cable to San Francisco on Saturday. It's also the first chance for many fans to watch this group without streaming it on Kings+.
Sacramento is 0-2 this preseason after two games against the Lakers. On Monday at Golden 1 Center the Lakers won easily, 127-103. On Thursday in Los Angeles the Kings lost a closer one, 114-110, after the young reserves cut a 19-point deficit to five late in the fourth quarter. It's exhibition basketball, but the same problems showed up both nights: too many turnovers and cold shooting from three.
Who might play
Coach Doug Christie has eased his veterans in. Domantas Sabonis, Keegan Murray, Malik Monk and Ben Simmons all sat out Thursday. Monk was listed for rest, Simmons' absence was not injury-related, and the team didn't give a reason for Sabonis or Murray. All four were listed day-to-day, and league injury trackers point to Saturday as their next chance to play. ESPN's Marc J. Spears reported "optimism" that Simmons will make his Kings preseason debut at Golden State. As of early Friday, the Kings had not announced a final status for any of the four.
On the Warriors side, Stephen Curry was listed day-to-day (rest) as of Friday, so it isn't clear yet whether he'll play.
Storylines to watch
Acuff and Sabonis together. No. 7 overall pick Darius Acuff Jr. scored 19 points in his preseason debut Monday. He and Sabonis scored Sacramento's first six points running pick-and-rolls. Sabonis played only 10 minutes that night, his first game since a knee injury and February surgery ended his 2025-26 season. If both play Saturday, that two-man game is the thing to watch.
Ben Simmons' first look. The Kings signed the three-time All-Star to a one-year deal in September after he missed all of last season. Reports out of camp have been very positive. Saturday could be the first time Kings fans see him in purple.
Young players pushing for minutes. Precious Achiuwa (18 points Thursday), Maxime Raynaud (13 points, 10 rebounds), Daeqwon Plowden (15 points, all in the fourth quarter), Nique Clifford (23 points Monday), and rookies Emanuel Sharp and Alex Karaban all made a case for themselves in Los Angeles. Christie has three preseason games left to settle his rotation.
After Saturday, the Kings come home to host Portland on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Golden 1 Center (7 p.m. PT, Kings+). They finish the preseason at San Antonio on Friday, Oct. 16. The regular season opens Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Clippers.
